Saturday Seven's: 3rd June 2023
A compilation of my findings, interests, and actions from the past week that might be of interest to you. It allows me to share the results of my weekly routine, and you can follow too!
Hello you!
Here you will find my findings from this past week, things I’m thinking about, and discovering. If you enjoy it, feel free to forward this along to friends (they might enjoy it too!).
What I’ve listened to:
Video’s I saved:
Quotes I’ve liked:
“Freedom is of the mind. I went to prison, but I never let my mind go to prison.” - Archie Williams
“Whoever controls the media controls the mind.”
“Those who control the food, control the people.” - Henry Kissinger
“You don't get honored, or revered, or celebrated wanting what someone else has, you get no credit messing in someone else's territory, you have no power in any territory other than your own.” - Oprah
This week’s curiosities, interests, and thoughts:
Thoughts:
The quality of your input defines the quality of your output. If you’re dictating what you ingest based on how you feel, the outcome of your life will be the effect of an a life of emotional reactions.
Potential Archetype:
Whatever a father represents for his daughter, his daughter will see in a man.
And if a man doesn’t represent those traits, then she won’t be attracted.
The same goes for a woman, whatever a mother represents to her son, he will then see that potential within his future wife. It’s all about structural compatibility and education from the crib up. We perceive the archetype of our parents and then are attracted to that in our potential partners.
Learning/Coding:
Becoming a coder is about stacking what you can do. For example, this afternoon I’ve been berating myself because of what I’m failing to grasp. But failure to grasp a concept doesn’t define If or Not I can apply the rest of my coding knowledge.
Not understanding something doesn’t mean I can’t Ever understand it.
Not understanding something doesn’t mean I can’t ever come back and try again to gain a better understanding, or go to another source.
Not understanding something doesn’t mean I can’t become a coder.
What it does bring up is education failure to teach without inciting fear within me. It’s underlined the fact that if I don’t manage to jump through “these hoops” determined by school, that I won’t be able to become a programmer. And that simply isn’t true. I won’t get their test, because at this point in time I’m not grasping it. That doesn’t mean that it’s written in stone that I won’t be able to grasp these notions and apply them to make great apps. It just means that I need to go at my own pace, and understand things through research and practical experimentation when needed. It’s underlined how fearful we become when we can’t ace something on the first go. Which is complete and utter bullshit. If I need to come back to this and look at it through a different perspective, then thats what I’ll do. It’s not because I can’t understand something in the moment that I won’t understand. But most likely, I won’t get to understand because I am afraid of “taking the time”, and that was taught to me in school. And that isn’t a successful trait and it needs to be unlearned.
When you can let go of the world, of internet, or what is happening “out there”, you get to go within and start building, experiencing what’s within. Your own inner world becomes accessible. The door opens.
Questions:
How did you make people feel while they were here? How did you uplift people while you were on earth? The way you make people feel while you’re here is what they take with them when they’re gone.
Questions for self:
Am I aiming for a life I’d be excited to live?
What adventure have I been on lately?
What do I perceive as the life of my dreams?
You can also give me your feedback on Twitter @check_goldberg. What did you like most about this week’s findings? What would you like more or less of in this newsletter? Any other suggestions? Please let me know. Just send a tweet to @check_goldberg and put #saturdaysevens at the end so I can find it.
Also, if you find any of my ideas interesting make sure to check them out in

Have a wonderful weekend!
Much love to you and yours,
