Utility of trauma: Alignment
Reason you’re going through trauma is that, you’ve distanced yourself so far from how you feel that you’re being called back to find a central point of alignment.
That’s right.
The lead up to your trauma was actually interspersed with misalignments which you didn’t process, didn’t digest, and repressed while you where focussed on something “more important”. — We’re talking about self inflicted trauma, not some war zone ptsd… Although, some of the stuff we’re talking about here will be useful.
The point is that, you’re now going through trauma, and you hate it because its taken all the colour out of your world, everything seems grey. You want life to go back to what it was before. And this is purposeful. Don’t worry, you will get back to your ‘pre-trauma’, just as long as you hone the lesson of your trauma. Because there is a lesson for you to learn.
Most obviously, you’ve side-stepped your connection to your soul and this has broken the harmony you had. It is up to you to rebuild your connection to your soul, find the areas which deplete you, find the areas which empower you, and seek out where you have resistance and fear. When you can discover your resistance, you’ll find what you need to push against.
However, back to the topic. The utility of trauma is to give you a time out. To make you stop what you’re doing, what you’re aiming for, and reconnect with what makes you, you.
